How WhatsApp Works

  1. Account Setup: Users download the WhatsApp app from their respective app store, create a profile using their phone number, and verify it through a confirmation code sent via SMS.
  2. Contact Syncing: WhatsApp automatically syncs the user’s contacts from their phone’s address book who are also using the app, making it easy to connect with friends and family.
  3. Sending Messages: Users can initiate conversations by selecting a contact, typing a message, and sending it. If the recipient is online, they receive it instantly.
  4. Call Functionality: To make voice or video calls, users simply select the contact and choose the call function from the chat window.
  5. Group Creation: Creating a group involves selecting multiple contacts, naming the group, and starting the conversation. Group admins can manage settings and add or remove members.
  6. Media Sharing: Users can share photos, videos, and documents directly in a chat by using the attachment feature.
  7. Voice Messages: Users can record voice messages within the chat by holding down the microphone icon and releasing it when done.
